Angel Biscuits

  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water



Angel Biscuits





PREPARATION

Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

Add yeast mixture and buttermilk to dry ingredients.

Mix with spoon until all flour is moistened.
