Apple Sauce Cake
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups apples cooked and mashed
- 1 cup raisins cut up
- 2 cups nuts chopped
- 3 cups flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. Nutmeg

PREPARATION
Having apples hot, mix all ingredients together by hand.
Put in greased and floured tube pan.
Bake in moderate oven 1 1/2 hours.
Heat oven to 350 degrees but set back to 250 degrees when cake is put in oven.
Wet cloth in wine or sweetened berry juice and wrap cake when its cool.
Put back in pan and cover with plate.
Make cake about a month before you want it and keep re-soaking cloth about once a week.
