Banana Nut Cake

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt





Banana Nut Cake



PREPARATION

Measure all ingredients except bananas and nuts into mixing bowl.

Beat with mixer until well mixed about 2 to 4 minutes.

Add bananas and mix well. Stir in nuts.

Pour into 3-9 inch cake pans that have been well greased and floured.

Bake in 350 degree oven about 35 to 40 minutes.

Until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
